The Webelos program is designed to prepare Cub Scouts to advance to a Scouts BSA Troop. Having already earned the Webelos rank, fifth graders focus on achieving the Arrow of Light.
This year, Pack 506 has one established Webelos 2/Arrow of Light Den, comprised of five female Scouts who have been working together since the rank of Tiger. Members of this Den will advance to a Scouts BSA Troop in the spring, having completed the Arrow of Light requirements.
New Scouts are welcome to join at any time. However, BSA guidelines dictate that Webelos 2/Arrow of Light Dens must be single gender, as Scouts of this rank are preparing to join single-gender BSA Troops. If you have a male-identifying fifth grader who wants to join Scouts we’d love to accommodate, we would just have to establish a new Den.
